Alas, Gerrit made it to the pinnacle of a game in the famous Buckeye Poker League sponsered by the Maurice Clarret Foundation for Early Parole, better know as MCFEP. Enjoy that drink Gerrit.
Althouh many might think Gerrit had help from his lovely lady Linda, who played a great game and had the honor of knocking me out. He played with poise just like his hero from Akron and current star of the Cavs, LeBron James. Who also had a great week by making it to the NBA Championship. So it was a great week for Gerrit but from the Cavs showing last night in the Championship against the Spurs it might just be a memory of Old Glory to come for the Den Heijer.
To bad for Jesse who had the chance to take off with a commanding points lead coming into the halfway mark. He failed to show and earned a mere 1 pt. I can't say much, although I doubled his pts. with a whopping 2.
Several other supprises the last game was how long everyone was in. No one got knocked out until the big blind was up to $1000, over 2 1/2 hours of play. But I have been told once we started to fall it came quick until the end when Gerrit and Papa Scott Preston were battling head to head. Until Scott tried to slow play the Dane and got caught on the river to give, I mean a hand wrapped victory to the man who bears an Asian Cock Sucker on his leg, Gerrit.
The biggest supprise in my opinion was Kenny "formerly EZ-Money" Mchone. It was probable that his apodo (spanish for nickname) would change to "The Vault". Marc "Woody" Woodgeard said "I have never seen anyone so tight since my first girlfriend. Jay "No Nickname" Preston said "I couldnt get my game going until he was out but by that time it was too late, kinda of like what will probably happen to the Cavs in the Finals". All for not Kenny finally turned back into an ATM by going out 4th. Good job though Kenny, it is his highest placing so far, 7th and brings his total pts. for the season to Unlucky No. 13 but he is now in double digits. At least I can keep him company in the cellar.
Also thanks to the two Subs, Nathan Dickman who finished in the middle for the ultra conservative Kyle. Also the lovely Linda, Gerrits soon to be wife who played great unfortunately it was for the Drunken Absentee Curt "Skippy" Neiset. Drunky, I mean Skippy was in attendence to the memorial and was drinking for all of Dublin. Mr. Preston who also attended the Memorial was able to make the game, heck he has hosted it for a record 4th time. Thanks again Mr. P.
Mr. P. also made a suggestion to not have future games on the Memorial Tournament weekend. Duly noted and we will not do it again.
As for the next game I will host it on July Friday the 13th. It has been accepted to not have that game on 4th of July weekend. Hey Kenny its the 13th and you have 13 pts. I see good cards for you that day, that is if you play them.
